SATCoL launches season 4 of podcast exploring sustainable fashion, climate action and positive change

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL), the trading arm of The Salvation Army is set to launch Season 4 of its podcast, bringing together leading voices from across sustainability, fashion and social impact to explore some of the most pressing environmental issues facing society today.

The new season opens with a thought-provoking conversation featuring journalist and sustainable fashion commentator Brooke Roberts-Islam and sustainability activist Tori Tsui, discussing the relationship between fashion, consumption, climate concerns and the actions individuals can take to create meaningful change.

At a time when many people are feeling overwhelmed by the scale of environmental challenges, the podcast focuses on practical, accessible solutions that empower people to make a difference through everyday choices. Hosted by SATCoL, the series explores how reusing, repairing, donating and recycling clothing can help extend the life of textiles, reduce waste and support a more circular economy.

Throughout the season, listeners will also hear from a range of respected voices from across fashion, retail, sustainability and circular innovation, including Philippa Grogan, Head of Sustainability at Nobody's Child, Rhea Cartwright, beauty industry strategist and journalist, Lauren Bravo, author of How To Break Up With Fast Fashion, Tim Cross, Founder and CEO of Plan B Circular and Co-Founder of Project Re:claim, a joint venture for polyester recycling with SATCoL , Al Gerrie, Founder and CEO of ZigZag Global, and fashion stylist and content creator Kay Wyer. Together, they bring diverse perspectives on sustainability, consumer behaviour, textile recycling and the future of circular fashion.

Kirk Bradley, Head of Corporate Partnerships at SATCoL, said:

"Conversations around sustainability can often focus on the scale of the challenges we face, but it's equally important to highlight the positive action people can take. This season explores how small, everyday decisions can collectively create lasting change, while also highlighting the important role charities, businesses and individuals play in building a more circular future."

As the UK's largest charity-owned textiles collector, SATCoL helps divert thousands of tonnes of textiles away from disposal every year through its network of charity shops, clothing banks and textile reuse and recycling operations. The podcast provides a platform to discuss the challenges facing the fashion industry while showcasing practical solutions already making a difference.

The new season also highlights how donated items help support the wider work of The Salvation Army, demonstrating the positive social and environmental impact that can be achieved through reuse and recycling.

Listeners can expect honest conversations, expert insights and inspiring stories that encourage action and show how everyone can play a part in creating a more sustainable future.

Season 4 launches on 28th September to coincide with Sustainable Fashion Week, to echo much these needed conversations. The series will be available via SATCoL TV, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other major podcast platforms.
