Salvation Army Trading Company (SATCoL) is the trading arm of The Salvation Army, raising money for the charity through a network of charity shops, donation centres and clothing banks. We are a reuse and recycling organisation and are the largest charity-owned textiles collector in the UK, with a commitment to professionalism, excellence and honesty which underscores everything we do. Working with our partners, we raise funds for The Salvation Army and other community-based charities across the UK. In the past 10 years alone we have donated £76 million to The Salvation Army.

We work with innovators and organisations who look after the environment today, and care for its future: supermarkets, local authorities, hotels chains, schools, manufacturers, retailers, transport companies, start-ups and more.

Our nationwide infrastructure enables us to respond quickly and eliminate costs for our partners, while at the same time helping to protect the environment.

What’s more, we encourage the British public to reuse and recycle through our 220 charity shops and donation centres and network of clothing banks; converting second-hand and donated items into funds raised for good causes.

Textiles is the UK’s fastest growing household waste stream. Reusing and recycling greatly reduces the amount going to landfill and gives unwanted items a second lease of life.

We support our partners in two main areas:

  • Clothing reuse and recycling schemes
  • Stock management for surplus, end of line and unsaleable stock
