Recycle.me Wins PCIAW® Circular Textile & Garment Innovation Award
The Recycle.me range, developed through a pioneering partnership between Regatta Professional, SATCoL, Project Re:claim and the Circular Textiles Foundation (CTF), has been recognised with the PCIAW® Circular Textile & Garment Innovation Award.
The award celebrates an innovative approach to circular workwear that goes beyond garment design to address an entire product lifecycle, from manufacture and use through to collection, recycling and material recovery.
The Recycle.me collection was created to help organisations reduce the environmental impact of workwear and uniforms by keeping valuable textile materials in circulation for longer. Designed using mono-material polyester construction and certified through CTF's Infinitee certification programme, the garments have been specifically engineered to be recycled at the end of their useful life.
A key element of the initiative is the end-of-life collection process operated by SATCoL. Through a dedicated take-back scheme, businesses can return used Recycle.me garments via a simple, accessible process, ensuring they are diverted from landfill and directed into a verified recycling pathway.
Once collected, garments are processed through Project Re:claim, the UK's first polyester mechanical recycling facility designed specifically for fibre-to-fibre textile recycling. The recovered polyester is transformed into recycled PET feedstock that can be used in the manufacture of future textile products, helping to retain material value and support a more circular textile industry.
By bringing together design, certification, collection and recycling expertise, the partnership demonstrates how collaboration across the textile value chain can create practical solutions to one of the industry's most significant sustainability challenges.
This recognition from the PCIAW® Awards is a testament to what can be achieved when organisations work together with a shared ambition to reduce textile waste and accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing Recycle.me to life and helping to drive positive change across the textile industry.
