SATCoL Partner with Oh Polly and Bo+Tee to Boost Circular Economy with Student Events

SATCoL are delighted to announce their most recent partnership with global womenswear brand, Oh Polly and sister activewear brand, Bo+Tee with their upcoming series of student Sample Sales. SATCoL is the trading arm of The Salvation Army, the largest charity owned textiles collector within the UK who is actively working to support organisations to reduce their carbon footprint and combat climate change, so this partnership was a perfect alignment.

The reuse and recycle schemes offered by SATCoL reduce the impact of overflowing landfill sites by extending the useful life of products by minimising waste. Our partnership with Oh Polly and Bo+Tee showcases the company's innovative and modern approach to charitable donations and an efficient way to tackle the throwaway fashion crisis.

Oh Polly is a global online retailer, providing trendy, high-quality womenswear fashion products. Bo+Tee is also a global online retailer, providing performance focussed, fashion-forward activewear. Their business models are social-first and are centred around industry leading Instagram and Facebook accounts. In 2019, Oh Polly was ranked as the 5th most engaged UK clothing retail social media brand and by April 2022 they had a combined following of over 4.5 million people. This puts them among the fastest growing fashion brands within the UK.

Oh Polly and Bo+Tee will be hosting a series of sample sales across the UK. Including:

10th May 2022, 11am-4pm - Liverpool Guild University, 160 Mount Pleasant, L3 5TR

12th May 2022, 12pm-5pm - Nottingham Trent University, 50 Shakespeare Street, NG1 4FQ

Thanks to the SATCoL’s recent partnership with the brands, customers can use this opportunity to not only shop the stylish collections for less but also to donate their used textiles to support the circular fashion economy. This includes clothing, handbags and shoes.

The donated items collated from the sample sales will be sold on and all profits raised will be donated to The Salvation Army to continue to support the great work they do. This includes providing specialist support for survivors and potential victims of modern slavery, shelter for those experiencing homlessness and so much more. In the last 10 years alone SATCoL, alongside the British public, has donated over £76 million to The Salvation Army.

Visit Oh Polly’s ‘Online Clothing Bank’ to learn more about how you can donate today. For more information about SATCoL and our partnership opportunities visit www.satcol.org
