New Year, Reuse and Repurpose

At SATCoL we’re stepping into 2022 excited about our sustainable services to combat climate change and reuse and recycle unwanted goods. We’d like to share this news with your local residents on your website and social media so they can get in on the action by donating to any one of our 7,500 textile banks available nationwide. It’s simple, all they need to do is head to the nearest bank by searching our bank locator tool www.salvationarmydonationcentre.org/bank-finder and donate clothing, shoes and handbags and know that their unwanted goods are changing lives. Our banks are available not just for spring cleans but all year round and conveniently located to ensure you can drop off at any time.

Charity shops work hard to take donations from the general public and due to the generosity of local residents, they often get full and reach their collection capacity. The SATCoL donation banks are always in operation and the perfect ethical and sustainable alternative to support the circular economy.

Never has it been more important to take action and reduce our carbon footprint. SATCoL collects around 50,000 tonnes of textiles each year and thanks to members of the public, our network of charity shops, donation centres and clothing banks are able to reuse, repurpose and recycle these donations. The profits that SATCoL receives is given to The Salvation Army to continue to support the great work they do such as, specialist support for survivors and potential victims of modern slavery, shelter for those experiencing homelessness and so much more.
